Community-led Impact Partnerships (CLIP)
Communities today face many social, economic, environmental and philosophical challenges that are often best understood and tackled by the people most affected by them.
Building on the work of our great friends Owen Tilbury and Peter Murden in Tasmania, our updated CLIP (Community-Led Impact Partnerships) programme helps local leaders turn their problems into projects, and their vision into action.
CLIP has three stages - Getting Ready, Getting Started and Getting Results - that guide community leaders towards building real partnerships and creating positive change.
Getting Ready
Laying the foundations for lasting impact, this stage helps you:
- Build a committed core team and shared vision.
 - Define the problem you want to solve together.
 - Create a clear, adaptable plan that’s ready for action.

Getting Started
Using the design thinking model, this stage helps you:
- Engage stakeholders and communities meaningfully.
 - Explore needs, challenges and opportunities.
 - Co-create a clear project brief to guide your next steps.

Getting Results
Turning insight into impact, this stage helps you:
- Design, prototype and test practical solutions.
 - Develop ideas through iteration and collaboration.
 - Deliver real-world results that create lasting change.

Whether you’re a first-time changemaker or an experienced community leader, each stage comes with guidance, practical tools and support.
Who is CLIP for?
CLIP is for anyone who believes in:
- Top-down and bottom-up approaches meeting in the middle.
 - Genuine partnerships built on trust.
 - Ideas and projects that put communities at the heart.

Change is a threat when done to me, but an opportunity when done by me.

Why CLIP matters
The most effective solutions emerge when communities take ownership of their own future, and CLIP gives you the tools, strategy and support to do just that. In short, CLIP is your opportunity to shape the future of your community, not wait for someone else to do it for you.
CLIP isn’t a quick fix or a one-size-fits-all solution. It's simply an effective framework that empowers communities to work collaboratively, take action and create real lasting change.
